Rain has stopped play today. These are my roof gardens. Rear one has been up for nearly two years and the front one is half way through planting up.

This is our bar and barbeque - all the furniture is now put away for winter but it only takes a few minutes to take the swing chairs out if we get an Indian Summer day.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
There is a thread on the FCF to "celebrate first day". I usually like to put something on it, often the new month picture on our labrador's calendar.
First Day Thread

So as a trailer to that thread, should you wish to join in, here is a evocative seasonal picture from the October page of our other calendar from Countryfile. I give you

Look after it carefully Gibbo, in a nice warm dry place, and you will be rewarded with a pale tussock moth in the passing of time!!

Where have we been then? That's about the only house you can afford to rent up there now.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Well done that man. Can you be anymore precise - that little house used to be a windmill many years ago which I think was lit up at night. Your link omitted the town/village - I think. There is a big hydro electric power station several miles from the bottom end of the loch, the water being fed underground through some huge pipes. The stone built power station looks lovely - not so much the sub station next to it! They have buses?
