Firmware/Map update advice needed

Installed only Great Britain and Ireland maps all seems to be ok but not had to put in an activation code

Going to put the address in and see how it behaves, but as usual will ignore it as I have been driving there and back 5 days a week for the last 5 years

Well it has definitely updated the maps as it now recognises Canford Bottom roundabout as being not a roundabout so...
If it isn't broke i am NOT going to fix it until it is

so can I update from 2.21 with a cd, if so which one comes next, 2.86? if so doesn't the 2.86 have issues or can you update again after the 2.86 with a later version of firmware that fixes any such bugs or should I just get and android unit fitted, my unit is RNEG2.21.A.1 can you get an android for these

V2.86 is the latest version - there are no further updates.

However, you V2.21 is an older version and my information suggests that updating to ANY versions of firmware above this may cause issues with the system, including resetting the unit back to default values. If you are going to update it, then I suggest you follow the Mirascripts Part A and later Part B, from this guide which was written for replacing the internal MicroSD card when it fails. Using the Mirascripts programme to copy over your system configurations file, will allow you to restore your user data files back after the firmware upgrade, which should hopefully restore everything to normal.
