406 V6 Coupe

I think my next "toy" could well be a 406 V6 Coupé... I think they look fantastic, and in my older age, I can't be bothered to go fast any more. I've just pottered home at 65mph on an empty M4! Still.. nice to know I've got some serious power if need be, and can overtake at will.

talking to one of my colleagues the other day, he was telling me they were down in Staffordshire the other week, when they were passed by a whole host of unmarked police cars, and not the typical BMW or Volvo, He said there were Peugeots, Nissans, Mini's but what what really drew his attention was a Kangoo builders van, doing about 130mph on blues and twos

now that set me off giggling, the mental picture of Kangoo with ladders on the roof and a plastic bucket flapping about doing 130mph in the fast lane, really must have been a sight to behold......

I seem to recall something like that, It does bring to mind a milk float I remember from the era of custom cars that had a Shelby V8 stuck on the back

How about that Ford Transit van that appeared on the episode of Top Gear against the Australian TG. It had a twin turbo Jaguar XJ220 engine in the back;

A productive day on the Pug today, first up was a spruce up of the engine bay with some citrus degreaser, this came up pretty good after it was dressed with some finishkare Fk108as. Next up was to give the seats a good clean, first up was gliptone leather cleaner which did a sterling job of getting 16yrs of bums on seat usage looking better. This was followed up by gliptone leather conditioner which left the seats totally transformed from what was almost before a drab grey looking black to a lovely supple and totally revived interior, the added bonus was the nice smell of old English leather left by the conditioner. I can recommend these products to anyone wanting to freshen up their interior for a small outlay. Here's a couple of pics of the finished interior.

I presume that would work on my cream leather sofa in the house too. It's starting to look a bit, well not cream! It's getting to the stage that a wash doesn't do what it used to with it.

What do you use to clean and then condition? Clean soft rags?

Wipe leather with a damp cloth, I find white cotton face flannels work best, work cleaner into seat with a nail brush or soft cloth leave for five minutes then wipe off with another damp cloth and watch how much dirt you get out. Once dried apply the conditioner with another soft cloth and leave, great product I wouldn't be without.
Gliptone do a small bottle of cleaner and a small bottle of conditioner which will last quite a while

The coupe will be in use for a few days this week and I'm looking forward to it too, I've just been running it this weekend while the weather is nice and what a joy it is to drive.The V6 burble is just intoxicating, I keep having ideas of selling both the blingo and the coupe but everytime I get back in it I think WHY, it doesn't owe me much at all and depreciation on anything else will be more than what the coupe is worth so it's definitely staying.
