Excellent lunch today from every viewpoint, thoroughly enjoyed by me and hopefully every other attendee. I think we can collectively recommend The Flying Fox in Heath and Reach as well worth a visit. Roll on the next one which hopefully, if bobins can still make it, will be at the end of the month!! :-D

Although the Flying Fox sounds excellent, that'd be about a 180 mile round trip for me so any chance it could be back at the Sceptre if possible ? :)

Indeed it could or even a tad further South at The Sibthorpe Arms in Welham Green if that helps? Do you come up via Dartford or Heathrow bobins? :-D

I come up via the Heathrow side. From here the M11 is the dividing line - anything to the right of the M11 would normally be via Dartford, to the left is via Heathrow. There's very little difference between the Sceptre and The Sibthorpe from here.

OK, in that case we could give The Coy Carp in Harefield, (https://www.vintageinn.co.uk/restaurant ... lduxbridge ) a go which is a good 15-20 miles closer to Heathrow than the Sceptre knocking 30-40 miles off the trip, how does that sound? :-D

That'd work for me, but make sure it'd suit all the others first as I'd not want to cause disquiet in the other ranks :-D
It's much too early for me to confirm dates at the moment as work has a habit of getting in the way. Work...... you know, Mick, you remember having to go to work ? :rofl2: :rofl2: :-D

Having retired from my only real job in March 1990 I'm not sure that I do!! I still work as and when I want to, but only on my terms and in total control of my own time which I have to say is brilliant!! :-D

So I'm quite happy for any day in the week ending Friday 27th June so shout out chaps and we'll take it from there. Also say if you don't fancy The Coy Carp!! :-D
