Dacia Spring EV Priced In Germany, Starts At €10,920 After Incentives (Comfort Plus €12,220)

If you live in Germany you can walk out of a virtual showroom with a Dacia Spring Comfort Plus for €12,220 after a bit of German State assistance. Orders being taken now for the higher spec model which is a pretty disappointing price point in Germany without the grant at €21,790. Likely to be delivered from Autumn 2021 in Germany.

Should suck up most of the production before anyone else gets a go.

If it does wash up in the UK That would be a price point of £18,700 ish and UK Plug in grant is currently £2,500 so likely around £16,200 after UK incentives. Slightly disruptive if there is enough of them, but no Great wall Ora or Wuling Hongguang Mini EV.

Try this SAIC/GM colaboration. First test drive from Fully Charged.

It also has nice simple things like a key to open the door and an old school handbrake. It has a lower range than a TESLA, and would take a very long time to get from Lands end to John O'Groats. It only has a slow charger, 6 hours to recharge...but yes you would do that at home and it is a City car. The 13.8 kWh Larger battery option gives 170 miles range. It does an impressive 8.1kWh/100km (7.6miles/kWh) better than virtually any EV you care to name.

The version now does have airbags and air conditioning.

Yes I've corrected it now. The Version driven has the larger 13.8kWh battery

Nor me, it looks like a cracking entry to the leccy car market. I don't mind the plastic from aestetic viewpoint, admittedly not great environmentally but no real issue. The only thing I'd like added is central locking because I am so used to it I would probably end up leaving the passenger door and hatch unlocked!! I'd definitely go for one if I could fit that!!

Our local Toyota dealer had several of those parked up a year or so back, looking just like that, the result of battery fires.
