Well I joined the FCF in 2009 so I have just scanned my posts to see if it would turn something up.

So in January 2012 what did I post about...nothing, a posting desert.

I was in the phase of only posting when there was something up with the car using the FCF like a public convenience. At that time my previous post was on October 11th 2011, and the next one after that was April 2nd 2012.

October 11th 2011 contribution......my Xantia Timing and centre bolt of the inlet manifold removal kit

April 2nd 2012 Started a thread on Xantia Wipers and Scuttle

Good news :D We've only been waiting 40 years for the Oxford to Bletchley link to reopen... It was first promised back in the 70s...

Work on the line from Bicester to Bletchley has been taking place in a lowish-key way for a couple of years now… Mainly lifting the old time-expired freight-only track and vegetation clearance although more recently a good bit of infrastructure work has taken place...

Pre-lockdown I used to ride the route and check on progress... I'm looking forward to doing the same again as it's always good to see a new railway take shape :D

After hitting the various chunks of road that had relieved themselves of duty you can imagine my thoughts on this  . Although it took me ages to file 3 reports on this particular road to be fair to the council they were working on it the very next day which is impressive, especially as there are significant storm warnings throughout the region too.

A very atmospheric picture sent to me by a good friend who lives near to where this was taken... It encompasses in just one image, many of my passions :D

A location that's very special and significant to me and sadly one I've not visited since 2016. I hope to visit later this year in Daffodil...

Always loved the shape of the MGA and I think that is the best colour. The crossing gates are gorgeous and just overall an excellent image.

From your many previous posts Jim I suspect that is Blue Harbour.

If you don't know what Isaac Newton did in 1665, worth a little check.

Meanwhile in 2021 here is a small recreation with a cd

TOH presumably he avoided the plague and from your clue managed to split light into the colour spectrum about that time? :)

Yes he did some of his most influential work in isolation on a farm near Cambridge and the year became known as his "annus mirabilis"
