I'll have a go at this with sunset over Elstree as it came out on the camera:

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Finding a 5100cc car for my celebratory 5100 posts picture has led me through a fair bit of digging but successfully I'm pleased to say. One especially for Peter here with a slightly modified Vauxhall Cresta. Full details can be found here.

For the benefit of those who have not heard of Bob Ross, look out for the TV programme The Joy of Painting and you will soon get to know about him. I have found this picture of an actual Bob Ross work which will show you what Neil is referring to:

Was washed out on the phone camera and has been adjusted to look the way it was. Daughter said it looked quite science fiction - toe original scene, not the photo.
Just missed the neighbours taking their hawks and owls for a 'walk'.

Excellent Steve. Looks like there was a tremendous sunset across all the North East yesterday. No doubt various FB groups will be full of arty shots of the Angel of the North!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I was heading into Reading this morning when I saw a couple of distinctively marked water fowl. I am not sure what breed they are, but they look nice. I also have (from Saturday) a picture of a load of mistletoe at Beaconsfield Services (M40, J2).

The nearest I can get to with an ID for your waterfowl is an Egyptian Goose

Yes I'd agree too , Neil pipped me there although I have a different picture showing the back feathers browning:

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
It wasn't a great day for outdoor photography today, dull and wet, didn't press the shutter once on the daily dog walks, so its random recall from the archives. The selection was page 327 post 8 and this was the closest image.
This was POTD beer club No 3, and was subsequently followed up with a random link with Denny Hulme 1967 Formula 1 World Champion who was born in Motueka in New Zealand....the source of the hops for the beer

If you are partaking tonight take a snap for Beer club, or shove it on Indoor POTD if you likeNewcastleFalcon wrote: 25 Jun 2020, 22:16 After this post 4 more to go and thats 4900 on POTD, so if you can keep us moving along through 4900 heading towards 5,000, please join in.
By then I would hope that POTD Beer Club has a few more contributions. Here is No3 and a bit of a nostalgic bonus with a 50 year old Apollo glass.....Odd name thats Hops from New Zealand being used by a Tyneside Craft Brewer.
