Yes it is fitted with cruise control giving both regulate and limit options but I hate it!!! I am the driver so I do the driving!!!!

Cruise control: think I'm in the middle between you two! I like it for long monotonous Average Speed Limit 50 mph sections (though it does highlight quite how incapable everyone else is at maintaining their speed!)
Don't use it often, as generally roads are too busy and you are resuming / canceling / resuming continuously.

Speed limiter: I tried it once, it's awful! Very much the feeling of "something is wrong with the car" as the power peters out in a very odd way despite my right foot not moving on the pedal. Horrible! Couldn't get on with it.

I'm with you on the digital speedo. I have one in my Picasso and still hate it I've never got comfortable with it...

I worry about getting caught speeding so use the cruise limit all the time in speed limited areas...

But speed limiter I don't like. On both cars (and previous one) I wound the limit up to the maximum (180?) and then left it there never to be accessed again.

Ah, then the C4 would be up your street - you can have speed limiter OR cruise, as far as I know when you flick from one mode to the next it cancels the other.
It's a few years since I was behind the wheel of the C4 - roller/toggle switch on that. the C5 is same, one button switches on Limiter - Cruise and another switched either off.

I'd have thought "the power tails off' doesn't feel so weird at 180 (mph! )

Yep, that's how it appears to work in my Picasso... I've a feeling it might 'remember' your last cruise/limit settings as you switch between the two modes but can't recall now...

Well the car has now been on Autotrader since Friday and I have had 9 enquiries in all. The first two are due to come to see the car today so we will see how it goes. I have dropped the price to allow for the replacement of the control arm which I have mentioned. This is a link to the advert for general interest:

Yes I think so Matt, possibly had an offside scrape following the front spring fracture and never repaired properly. It is what it is and obviously has no effect on the usability as my trip to Germany proved
