Also posted some pics as today the front bumper came off, the wings havent as they are glued on
Then the front slam panel came off, the rad has come out and is just over 2years old and still in great nick, both rad hoses removed and they are the same part side by side
rear lights including ABS removed, some rear trim removed as well and the spare wheel and toolkit.

The spare wheel must be the original tyre but jesus its in great nick as its got no cracking or signs of age and has 7.7mm of tread across its bobbled surface.

My ratchet can't handle high torque so the top engine mount wasn't going to get far but i got one bolt off, the boot lid trim panels came off and the supports for the rear parcel shelf strings as well, they must be a part available on there own though as they are an expansive type of plastic hollow plug.
boot has been cleared and speakers pulled out as well, door joints re-sprayed with GT85 to help removal on sunday.

The aircon pipe work may need to be cut as i dont think i have a torx bolt big enough but will double check tomorrow, and i certainly dont have a big enough socket for the hub nuts im afraid jim.

On the plugs side the discs and pads up front look almost brand new, and the calipers don't look too bad either!

The HP feed to the drivers side strut has a lot of corrosion on it though now i can see it properly so will need to check if paul still wants it

Its certainly fun but such a tiring task at the moment with work and then going home and spending a few hours on it most nights this week im shattered come 9 so end up sponging out for an hour before bed Tonight should be a little easier as i just need to remove the drivers seat and some other bits that I can and jobs a good un as saturday is out for work on the beast as i'm dropping the interior off but i have set aside some time to remove the battery and battery holder at the end of the day if not tonight to make things easier on sunday and also need to get some free plasterboard to protect the drive later tonight and there is also some insulation on one of the skips so might throw some of that in for that fact it makes a good liquid absorber for any LHM that gets spilt!

what state is the front suspension in? How much is off? Are the hubnuts undone? If not please don't touch the brakes for obvious reasons

I presume there will be power available?

Plenty of juice availabe and extension lead though 2 plugs within about 6ft of the car

Not touched the front suspension yet im afraid as i can't undo the hub nuts

The front looks pretty bare but apparently yesterday as some school kids passed the car a few went "MISS MISS whats that car, can i ask my daddy to get one as it looks super mean?!?!" Guessing that without the lights in the front it looked quite funky and before being bricked up and wheels stripped off lol

OK, leave the brakes on and the Team WFA ape (Liam) will soon have them off, sometimes he uses tools.

If you could get the exhaust disconnected at the cat to manifold join that would be excellent, otherwise don't worry too much

Oh yes! There is also a sainsburys, Tesco, and Co-op

If people want to bring food and stuff that needs to go in the fridge i can free up a shelf and there is always semi skimmed milk available, some Corona's, Fanta, Sprite, Tea, Coffee, apples, Ice Cubes and also a work bench will be free'd up for anyone wanting to pull things apart away from teh car The other workbench is a bit full but i have a heavy duty Vice, a grinding unit that will fix to a bench at some point both rough and smooth discs.

Mostly carpeted garage ala Jim stylee with lighting and a nice grass area to take a few minutes in the sun and spot planes if you wish

Will give the exhaust a try tonight and if i fail i'll make sure its soaked in GT85 but it might be good if someone brings an angle grinder to cut stubborn bits out lol!

I'll be bringing the WFA Angle Grinder of Doom with copious cutting discs. For the really precise stuff do you have a large selection of hammers?

I have 2 hammers at the moment lol, i tend not to go clarkson style at the moment as i've been more building and tidying for a while

As an aside for installing the leather into a non exclusive xantia is there anything other than the seats that is needed? Im guessing the loom for them is integrated into the rest of the car loom but is cutting the connectors off the best way to go for the front seats and the heater switches?

Do you have a goo, ,meaty socket set with good 16, 80 19, 21 and 22mm sockets in it? We'll need them all and a good strong bar on rthem too..

I ask as I saw a comment you made about a weak ratchet. I can bring a breaker and T bars but need to know if it's 1/2" or 3/8" drive...

Do you have a 21mm spanner?

Seats. If installing into an S2 you may find all the wiring is there but if not then all the wiring will come out of the donor as a complete loom. follow the two large yellow wires all the way to the fusebox. No need to cut anything at all..

I can advise further on that on Sunday if needed..

I'll be bringing my own tea as I drink only decaff..

My brother was meant to bring over my dads great socket set but the plank has been messing me about and even though he drives past my house by about 500metres on his way to and from work its been too much hassle for him to divert for 5 minutes

Will try and trace the cables for the seats tonight then as im dropping the lot off to allan tomorrow when i meet him at carlisle
Does any of the dash need to come out for me to get the rest of the loom out or is it a carpet pulling excercise?

Also just recalled the passenger side arch liner came out perfectly and with all screws and stubs

one mounting for it though was just a pile of rust and came away in my fingers!

I dont think i have a 21mm spanner but i do have an adjustable one and think it goes upto 23mm.

My big breaker bar is 1/2" socket jim and my full set of sockets upto 19mm is 3/8". also bust my 3/8=>1/2" adapter as well

Just bring your own teabags Jim and i can sort the tea's out, the kettle will be busy as it looking like it could be warm day but a bit wet

In that case Will, I'll bring some carefully selected meaty 1/2" sockets then... And a few bars as well..

Seat cables will be easy and obvious if you have the centre console out...

I take it you're taking out the clocks and bits of the dash?

Sorted the socket set Jim but it does only go upto 1 1/4" but is a 1/2" sratchet so only a few sockets might be needed.

I didn't get a chance to get anything bar the drivers seat out tonight and get it up on bricks at the front before doomsday at the office happened and ended up there till about 2300 so shattered by the time I got back home and still need to pack Allan's interior into the car and swap the front tyres over
