Ah right. I'm not very good at pub names as I don't frequent them or remember that I have seen them. I knew that Salisbury was 'Sarum', it's not to far from us.
Keep them coming.

Another couple of reasonably entertaining posts from yourself Jim and that will be you on 1234 likes
So the camera was only out today, and I photographed a hawthorn bush. May not come across in the photo, but with real light and colour on a bright afternoon, "festooned" (POTD word of the day) couldnt be more appropriate for the for the quantity of bright red "haws" on the bush.
Regards Neil

Well I extracted a bit of interest over fire hydrants today and the Trivia Investigation Team came up trumps with the interpretation.

A 3" main 4' away. It looks like that hydrant only dispenses firefighting water in imperial gallons, and not metric litres, so they'd have to fit a gallons to litres converter between the hydrant and the fire pump

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Well back home ready to plague you all, It seems to have been very active over the last few days which is great!! I got home to discover that Autumn has sneaked into the garden while I was away, I am particularly impressed with the Hoster in pic 2:

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Thanks Neil for pointing out that I had reached my 4000th post and hence a celebratory car is called for. There are plenty to choose from in the 4.0L category including 3 I have owned in the past, an XJS, a TVR Chimera and a Jeep Cherokee but none are particularly special so I have picked one I would have loved to have had but it hasn't happened yet:

I'd like the Sunbeam but I don't think I could afford the annual Brasso bill.
