I was on a call today when I saw an unusual moth. I am not sure what breed it is, but it reminds me of a Snowy Owl. It is definitely alive (well, it was when I left), as it then ended up on a nearby bush;

In magnificent metallic peacock blue, it was shimmering and winking at me and I was smitten. Now for the sucker punch: it was bought new by Judith Durham of The Seekers. With her late husband Ron she toured Europe in this very DS before privately importing it to Australia. After many years of happy ownership, they sold her. On several occasions I have quizzed Judith personally about the car to verify its authenticity.

Whenever I see footprints on a beach like that I always think of the story where one man suffering from delerium was walking across the desert with his friend and when he looked back at the trail he could only see one set of footprints so he turned on his friend and accused him of deserting him in his hour of greatest need. He was forced to apologise when his friend pointed out that there was only one set because that was the part he had been carried over. That in turn always brings a song to mind which I will put on the PE Jukebox forthwith!

Dorset's finest Peter. Yes and if anyone has a lava lamp get it out and photograph it for POTD. Especially if its an original Mathmos or a Crestworth from the original source.
