Eldest son's wedding party :) What a rabble.

Interesting the Scandy connection as the Swedish consul is located in there now.

Thursday at Royal Ascot is both Ladies Day and Gold Cup day. I have seen history made at Royal Ascot.

Own Work. This was that occasion. Estimate won the 2013 Gold Cup, making it the first time a reigning UK monarch had won the Gold Cup. Her GRIN was lovely to see.

This is one of my regular go-to sites. Some absolutely tremendous photography, and a constant surprise at the variety and rarity of birds. Nortumberland and Tyneside Bird Club

This caught my eye this morning, you don't need eyes in the back of your head when you can do this.....

Indeed I do Peter, Goathland opposite the pub. We had a weekend following the scenes of Heartbeat a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed in a delightful B&B along the road from the shops looking out over the common. I'll look out some pics from it later but I have to shoot now for aiding and tutoring duties. :-D

We go to North Yorkshire every year in September (or we did) a trip to Beamish is an essential, the entry tickets last for a year so if the do open up I hope its before they expire.

We stay at the Travelodge just down the road from Scotch Corner, convenient for all points of the compass.

We found the new surgery a year or two back, the way its shown makes it look as though its in the country - its actually on an industrial estate!

You;; have to skip past the adverts Peter, but the Richmondshire Today has a few pics of the new series of 6 Episodes and a Christmas Special due for screening by Channel 5. The article was from January this year.
