Alarm bells ring.. "I'm selling this on behalf of a friend who doesn't have a computer..." Come off it. These days it's a bit like saying you live in a house with no mains water or electricity...

I see such a statement and then ignore the rest...

HDI Activas are not actually rare at all, it's just they're all LHD and were never imported into this country...

I don't know Jim - it could be on the level - being an eBay and car geek,
I've listed at least 4 cars for a pal who isn't really computer literate!!
It's easy too when I enjoy all that kind of faff about! Check out the interior
shot - isn't that a Rover P6 or even an old Cortina in the background?
These are hardy something found outside a council house semi in a rough
estate somewhere really!?

I'd say it looks and sounds like a nice car that isn't unreasonable money TBF.

the Activa that is an activa could be good but if he gets what he wants i would be looking swinging around 1k for that, £450 for the car, £300 for a full set of good rubber, £? for spheres, £40 for an exhaust section, £40 to MOT, £120 to tax it but i nice looking car.

The HDI not Activa thing, i like the fact they take the time to list "wheel trims" with the spec but it only has 3

Getting an Activa really good is an expensive and time-consuming business but worth every penny/hour...

A good 'un is great. A bodged/fixed-up one is terrible and that's why they have a bad reputation. Very few are actually done properly...

The Activa does look fairly tidy and its a good spec too, hopefully someone will do what the number plate suggests and 'save' it!

That silver HDi has been on autotrader for a while, no wonder if people think its an Activa! No one searching for a diesel Xantia is going to look any further at it. Looks be be an Irish spec LX? As far as I know all UK spec S2 cars had fully colour coded bumpers, even the basics with no fog lights ...

It's a bit rich considering it's not a winter pack model - i.e. heated leather, headlight washers and so on.

Mine is so that makes mine worth say, £3,500?

I'd say if I was selling mine, which I'm not! I'd start the bidding at £1,500. Mine's the same year, has all the options, including a sunroof and is in comparable condition but rather higher mileage...

That Activa is basic spec and doesn't appear to even have A/C, I reckon it's value is about half the advertised price at best.

Yep, AC was optional on very early ones such as that and it doesn't look to have it.

I would love to drive it and see if it works as it should ...

Its too strong money, perhaps someone will pay it, but very few cars are shifting at the moment so I doubt that. I agree, its worth around £1500.

It only takes one person with a few grand to spend and if they want a low miles minter activa (lets face it there are not many out there) it would have to be this one. Ican see it kicking around for a while though. Looks like a good car.

I've seen this car, when it went to B.L.Autos for it's 'check over'.
It looks really smart and certainly deserves to find a good home.
One day the market value of Activa's will reflect their true worth, perhaps cars of this excellent original condition will start the trend.
