Having stopped to get the picture for the P E Quiz I span round and snapped the North Mymms War Memorial through the car window:

"Just one look" or "look through any window"? or has a "long cool woman in a black dress" just popped behind the trees. :-D M. Appeal (yes according to wiki that's how Emma Peel got her name) would fit that bill :-D

Be my guest shove up an appropriate track Mick, Colin Blunstone (born in Hatfield as it turns out) is doing a very decent song with the Alan Parsons Project at the moment over at the PE.

Well today I have decided to put up an appropriate POTD track on the PE Jukebox for every picture posted.

Can I assume for my shenanigans that your stream is "Big Burn", which is the first thing that came out when I googled "Golspie Stream"

Getting a bit short of material but I learned to drive in a van like this that was only about two year old, only ours was 2 tone blue with "Queensway Radio" on the sides and SKR244 on the number plates. I passed my test in 1956 and managed to wrap it round a lamp post in the ice the first year

It was an Austin A40 and very nice to drive after my pre war Ford and guess what when you turned the steering wheel the centre with the horn and indicators (trafficators) stayed still - just like my C5 . :-D

Needless to say ours didn't have whitewall tyres but a lot of cars did - it was all the rage in the latter part of the '50s when people had more money. Leopard skin seat covers too, but they were to expensive for many so you got a leopard skin travel rug and tucked it in round the seats.

As well as bludgeoning its way to an inevitable 100,000 views, the Off Topic Chat lounge in general crashed through the 84,000 posts barrier last night.

So here is a celebratory picture for the OTCL on this the 84006 th post.
The oval buffers gave a certain distinction to these fine locos, popular amongst Longsight Drivers for being the best 'ride' of the AC electrics.

How about a halfway point? Two white swans and six grey cygnets?

Excellent-have to admit that my two swans were one swan and the same swan horizontally flipped---anything goes!
Anyone got a four? Not necessarily Swans. There is a pub in Durham called the Swan and three Cygnets.

I'm a bit behind going on a fascinating tangents on Inns and pubs called the Three Swans. I like a decent coaching inn and a bit of history.
