Well i have brought forward some of the items on my todo list as Citroen will be having my Activa at the Citroen UK HQ for exhibition at a dealers meeting later in the month. So Monday i dropped her off to have her alloys refurbished and just collected her, they now the look good as new. Apparently they were very corroded before and she feels smoother to drive now too, although concerned the back felt a little twitchy on a corner and i was not even going fast so will check tyre the pressure is correct later.

Later in the week will have the wiper arms sanded down, repainted and then lacquered and externally she should look like a new car. :-D If anybody else is interested in having their alloys made to look like new it cost me £240.

I may look at replacing the whole rear drivers door next if i can get my hands on one (and then the cost of having that reprayed :( ), i have no idea whats been done to it in the past it feels tinny when you shut it compared to the rest, the trim is not secure, the plastic surround of the electric button has snapped away and does not work, and the person who resprayed the car said there is a screw under part of the window seal.

After that i need to decide if i want to part with £500 to get the heater matrix done. It has had 2 coolent flushes and now gets slightly warm but not red hot, not sure if this will get better with use.

Hopefully this year my Activa will be in very good condition.

Were some Activa alloys not solid centres? I thought they were all the same.

S2 only were solid centres. S1 was removable centres... S1 wheels are the ones to have as it makes balancing easier ;)

I have had both S1 and S2 Activa's and never noticed. The place the refurbished my alloys did say they were unable to balance my wheels due to them having solid centres.

Not that i know of, so if i do it will be a surprise. I would be happy with just some photos or video of it at the exhibition, but doubt i get anything for lending the car.
