The old thread has had its revival day, but if you do your search engine of choice this seemingly insignificant and trivial thread still comes up high on a search for "Feu Orange".

Occasionally you may come across an appearance of Feu Orange dangling from a wing mirror of a classic car from the 70's or 80's at auction or maybe even dressed up for a classic car show you have mooched around. "Keep 'em peeled" as Shaw Taylor used to say.

This is the thread to mop up such things, and original photos are of course the best :-D

One more from me concerns this 1970 Ford 1600E MKII Cortina....what better :?: Bit of a TV star having appeared in "The Grand Tour".
Sold for £16,875 24th July 2019 at the H&H Sale Pavilion Gardens Buxton

Details here https://www.handh.co.uk/auction/lot/lot ... 8&pn=1&g=1

The Cortina was personally used by Jeremy Clarkson who congratulated me on how the car looked and performed as it was a Gold Cortina 1600E that started his love affair with cars in the first instance, as part of The Grand Tour programme the Cortina (JCC 868J) has been included in their PS4 game.
Where is the link with Feu Orange :?:

That explains a lot about Clarkson... Just shows the dangers inherent in sniffing a Feu Orange

I had a MKII 1500GT Cortina for a little while... Nice cars but boy did they like to drink petrol  And dirty great rust holes in the rears of the front wheelarches and flood water are not a good recipe for a successful love-life ;) Such a combination in said Cortina caused a hot date to go very badly :(

That must have been a very early MkII as they went to the 1600 crossflow for most its run.
As I get older I think a lot about the hereafter - I go into a room and then wonder what I'm here after.

Indeed it was. A rare non-crossflow Paul. On an early E plate...

Not long after I swapped it for something a little drier in the footwells and with a more moderate thirst for the go-juice it suffered the fate that befell so many of the ilk. It was stolen and never seen again

Don't worry about that Jim, Happy you actually saw it and recognised it. Plenty of room for those cassettes. :-D

For yourself and any one else who wants to peek, this is the video it came from. I am of course primed to notice the Feu Orange!
