Just a small update:

Her Activaness is behaving herself quite well. She is leak free, and shuffles only slightly. She has an appetie for petrol though, 26mpg :(. I'll not start ranting about it, but would have been happier with 28mpg +.

I have given her a bit of a tidy up as well. Thanks to our Welsh duo Andrew and Paul, I now have the correct painted door mirrors. And to e-bay for the rear Activa badge. The tailblazer has grown on me now, and I accept it as being normal now, and not so odd.

Nice Robert!

I might have to acquire a boot badge for mine (even though it's a S2). Lets people know what they're dealing with! There are still some non-French drivers about who understand what an Activa is. :D

looking good Robert 8-) whoever is selling those badges must have had a rush Activa ones on last week
Regarding fuel economy it may be time for an O2 sensor if mpg is dropping and its not been changed before

I suspect you're right Dean,

The engine management light comes on from time to time when I cane it so its possibly at fault. Another thing to add to the to do list.

Hallo, I'm new here and got a problem with a broken activa rear ram gaiter. Has any one replaced it ?? If so, with what other gaiter ?? number or brand ??
Thanks for the help

Ouch! That one's seen some better days...
Pretty sure there is a known equivalent part for that gaitor... Discussed somewhere on the forum that I can't remember...
Hopefully one of the other Activa geeks (I mean owners) like Sticky or Jim will be along soon, to point you in the right direction!

Those gaiters are not available as spares and never were...

I've salvaged a few from otherwise irreparable rams in the past but they're rare...

I'd be looking for a generic steering rack gaiter that will fit... Measure what you need and look through catalogues to find a suitable replacement. I cannot offer any potential ones, it'll be a case of doing a bit of detective work... eBay listings sometimes give dimensions and I used this method to successfully source an inner CV boot for an Activa with an odd-sized driveshaft recently...

Welcome both to the forum and to Activa ownership :D I've just ended some ten years of continuous Activa ownership and know them well. Rather too well I fear!!! There's not much I've not done on them

This page from my website shows how to repair the traditional leaks in Activa rams:

Didn't realise she had moved on! I saw your note recently about thinking of parting, but hadn't seen a for sale thread, or anyone saying they had taken her on???

Yes, she's now moved to live with Zel of this parish ;)

A good home for her and not very far away from me - I can continue to follow her adventures :)

I have a new and very different project to occupy me...
