Singer Sewing Machine factory?

There's a slight irony here. The second studio I worked in had previously been a clothing factory and was still full of bits of sewing machines, thread and best of all, silicone lubricant, we had hours of fun with that and some seriously disturbed customers.

We moved to larger premises - that had indeed been a Singer Sewing Machine Factory.
Nothing left there though.

My next door neighbour was a Bernina sewing machine salesman :)

You are on the right track Steve, not a factory! :)

I've seen that before somewhere, if I recall correctly it's a clothes shop with all those machines in the windows for display. Spitalfields was it?

Points all round I think, tho Neil has nailed the actual origin. It is a shop in Gloucester that I came across when visiting the Bloodhound project in June.

Here's me in the Forest of Dean, in Gloucester several times a month and I didn't know about the Gloucester shop, where is it?

All I can tell you Gibbo is that it is in a walking precinct very near the docks and open restaurant area. We stayed in a hotel with a dockyard view and walked to the docks for dinner and passed the shop on the way. This link shows you exactly where:

Nobody knows what is going on, normally there is just two/three pairs over wintering.

I haven't been in the docks shopping centre since the council ripped me off for driving into one of their traps, they made a bridge on the site into a bus lane and hid the warning notice in a forest of other notices, took £300,000 in penalties in a three month period.

Bath tried the same, it had to be prised back from their thieving hands
