I was on the M40 this morning when I spotted a J reg Austin Maxi (between J7 and J8), in nicotine yellow.

Before attacking the damp issues discussed in the DIY thread we went for a fry up in Radlett Cafe. When we came out I was delighted to see a very old friend parked outside. A Lambretta SX200 identical to the one I had in 1968! It was my 4th scooter and the peak of my scooter riding which gave way eventually to the Series of proper bikes I owned starting with a Matchless 500 twin. But seeing this one in the identical colour scheme was a real boost before tackling the horrors ahead!

Spotted near the café we adjourned to after parkrun today...

Not often seen these days; used to be very common around these parts... Especially as sandwich delivery vans which I believe this one may still be - or was...

Love it Steve, such a shame you can't pop down for lunch on Tuesday but I guess that's one of the problems with us living poles apart!!
