For any pre-multiplex model, such as a Xantia, rev.c hardware gives no additional capabilities. There were no applicable software capabilities added after the Xantia went out if production.
As far as I know, there is no capability to use a Lexia to reinitialise a Xantia engine ECU.

Re: EasyDiagnostics vs eBay etc for Lexia3
You need a full chip kit to talk to all the ECUs on more modern multiplexed vehicles that are Fully CAN. Your xantia won't be so not such an issue and with a revision B you will be limited to an earlier version of Diagbox.
The encapsulated version of Lexia contained within Diagbox was updated for a while with Diagbox V7 on, but was no longer updated at some point (I can't remember exactly when). However your revision B should work fine with your Xantia.
I know the version of Lexia contained with version 7.01 of Diagbox is 500.45, but can;'t advise of the later versions (if there were any) as they are contained in the executable update files.
You should not install Diagbox with a stand alone version of Lexia as they can conflict with each other.
You can't save injection ECU software or back it up - there is a difference between the software / firmware and the parameters (if any) that the user can change.
The reinitialisation is a simple routine (probably simpler that you can imagins), but I'll need you to provide your VIN here first of all. 17 alphanumeric in length beginning VF. It will be masked automatically from public view when you submit your post, but as staff, I can read it. Once I have this I can recall the correct information for you.

Thanks for sharing this link. Rather depressingly, I can see that my Lexia is the cheap clone but I'm thinking of adding the extra optocouplers and resistors to see if it improves it. I've not really had cause to use it in 6 years so am reluctant to buy another Lexia not it is up and running!wfdTamar wrote: 30 Oct 2019, 20:53 Found this article. Not sure how up to date it is, but gives some idea of what to look for.

How did you get on with one you chose to buy in the end?

WOW! You are incredibly knowledgeable on all this Lexia gubbins, Marc. It's mind boggling.GiveMeABreak wrote: 13 Dec 2019, 06:08 The reinitialisation is a simple routine (probably simpler that you can imagins), but I'll need you to provide your VIN here first of all. 17 alphanumeric in length beginning VF. If I continue to have problems with the car starting on Saturday once I splice the affected ECU circuit back into the loom having completed the repair to bypass the affected ECU pin, would it be possible that a reinitialisation of the ECU would help the non-start situation. ECU on mine has been modified to 140bhp so perhaps ought to drop it back down to 109 before trying the car again and then upping it once I have the car running.
Corresponded with Jim the other day and he told me he's seen a few instances of this ECU pin corrosion on 2.0HDi's caused by a leaking coolant sensor and anti-freeze travelling along the wires by capillary action!
