Re: C8 power Steering just stopped working.
It's possible it still has air in the system. Repeat the bleeding procedure I gave you and make sure you turn the wheel lock to lock slowly to allow enough time for fluid movement and for any air to evacuate. The only real issue I can think of relating to the electropump system is electrical. Is the battery in good condition? A drop in current can cause the intermittent episodes you are describing, but I'm still suspecting air in the system. The bleeding procedure is free and won't cost anything except your time, so nothing to lose.
Please note, I'm no longer active on the Forum, so won't respond to messages.

Battery is good so I am minded to agree with you that it's an air-bubble issue.
Will do as you suggest.
Thanks, again.

Re: C8 power Steering just stopped working.
Further evidence that this intermittent problem is due to an airlock is that, if I park on a reasonable slope with my nose pointing downhill and leave ite for a few hours, the power steering always behaves normally but if I park on the flat or with the nose pointing uphill, it does not.
I have read that there should be a bleed nut somewhere in the power steering LDS fluid pipes but even the online Mechanics Manual available from here neither shows nor mentions it.
Can anyone tell me if such a bleed nut exists on a C8 and, if so, how I can get to it, please?
