Have to go back to my bus enthusiast mode for today's one. What I reckon must be a preserved D plate Leyland Olympian with Alexander RH bodywork. In a deep burgrundy colour devoid of any graphics/lettering and in visually mint condition. Only spotted it because I heard it first, definitely running a Cummins L10 power unit in that one, no mistaking that window-rattling rumble.

Miss getting to drive E131DRS up at Alford, lovely bus to drive, sounds fantastic and doesn't half go...

Thinking about a base-level SmugMug subscription, mainly to host and safely store my thousands of images.

For now I have used one of the horrid commercial sites (TinyPic) but here's my trucklet as of this weekend... Maybe it should be in the rat topic?

Yep, that's 131 on her old stomping ground. Now safely preserved out at the Grampian Transport Museum. Had the pleasure of a run out a couple of years back with the instruction "give the brakes a good bedding in."

Who was I to argue? They didn't half work better than before the overhaul, I'll say that much! Nearly put me through the windscreen first time I used them...

Now if there was a picture of the actual vehicle posted up, bonus points may well follow :)

Is the chinese eye grill getting restored or is this something different?

It's raining steadily here, too.

Neil: The "Chinese Eye" grille is restored and in the matching white urethane as wheels are painted, the radiator support needs another $1200-$1500 dropping on it - I rebuilt it once but think it needs re-work.

Reading up a whole lot about axle flips, camber/caster tweaks and chassis notching. Want to get it down at least two inches more.
