Todays classic spot.

I think this what Dagenham marketed as the Ford 14 Saloon in the early 1930's. A Ford Model B.

Certainly very very similar to this contemporary Autocar Cover

Sometimes they come up like that. Same on Autotrader Vehicle Check which does habitually dig a bit more descriptive detail of model than the DVLA site when you plug a registration in. There was another similar vehicle in front (EW7047) which I checked on both autotrader vehicle check and DVLA but no additional description other than another Ford Unknown.

Both would appear to have inaccurate engine c.c.'s for the period but I do believe the Dagenham production did have smaller cc engines than the US version of the Model B, ie the 14hp version known as the Ford Fourteen.

I saw a Wolselely 1100 ADO16 on Saturday - I saw one the week before, wasn't sure if it was a Riley version, but I can only assume it was the same one - can't be 2 around here!

We have a bit of history with these - my parents' first car (my Dad had a Ford 100E van before that!) was a black BMC 1100 version (they went on Honeymoon to Austria in 1971 in it). I don't really remember it, as an AMI 8 estate replaced it when I was about 2 and half. However, reportedly I cut my mechanicing teeth on it - aged about 20 months my Dad was replacing the rear subframe which involved 'some' hammering, and I was to be found laying in with the hammer a short time later - on the bodywork!! My Grandad (Of the Velocette fame) had a Riley Kestrel version through the 70's and into the early 80s (I assume it came off the road eventually for rust issues) - he had this in a friend's garage for while, then it was in the drive, but in the 90's my Mum told him he had to do something with it, so he rang the scrapman

Not a Riley Kestrel, but the MG incarnation of the AD016,

Charming film in colour with Graham Hill making an appearance at some point, and clearly the Title can be deduced from being able to write postcards in the back seat whilst on the move.

An e Reg E-type fixed head Coupe, not concours d'elegance, and the camera was out of battery as I lined up the photo, but always a head turner. The early pages of the Favourite colours for cars thread has an excellent gallery of the colours of E-types.
With the year 1967, the colour was probably the unexotically named "dark blue".

It's an Austin 1936 and 750cc motor according to DVLA. Next step either look at Glenmarch see if something similar has been sold at auction, simple internet query Austin 1936 750 cc, or a look at classiccarcatalogue select 1936, select Austin see what it has.

I think that a conversation with the driver would be the only way of nailing it down, The Austin Seven formed an ideal basis in the 1950's for home built special sportscars. As well as 100's of one-off cars the decade saw the birth of the kit car industry with around 30 manufacturers offering up to 100 different body styles, tuning equipment for mainly Austin Seven or Ford Ten donor cars. Looks like a one-off racing car body rather than a stock offering from the 1930's.

Saw another on the road e-type today, but this from Ford got the shutter click seeing as it wasn't a moving target.

I have never driven a Capri, or owned a Capri, and have only been a passenger in one on a brief holiday over new year in Germany. A JPS 3 litre job which appeared quite rapid on the German Autobahns.

I recognise them as stir creators when they appear in carparks, with any general public of a certain age gathering round and muttering I used to have one of those and maybe over nostalgia-izing about how good they were...etc.

If you feel like a mutter about Capris the opportunity is here on the back of my spot of a not particularly impressive or attractive example of the marque. Ever had one/driven one
