This is what is known as a Hyundai Kona Ultimate EV (May 2021)

Plenty other EV's to spot now of course, and on a trip from the sticks into civilisation seeing 10 different Teslas wouldn't be unusual.
A nice red Hyundai Kona got the click yesterday. I'm sure there is one of those awful motoring journo reviews to be found where a peek inside will be shown, and well as the usual barrage of cliches and unimaginative boring commentary. Put it this way any of the EV offerings these days are perfectly useable, competent cars infrastructure and range problems are overstated, but they are absolutely not cars for the masses yet.
Electrification starts at the well-heeled, moves to the affluent, and the company cars. That's not just company cars for those who actually need a "company car" for the purposes of doing "work miles" but a whole raft of salary sacrificers currently enjoying benefit-in-kind incentives to get a car through a financially beneficial company scheme.
Few manufactures want to see the price of an entry level EV dip under £20,000 bringing the rest of the scale down a notch or two. Eventually competition will reach this end of the market and someone will create a high volume lower margin A,B, or C segment EV, but while the demand exceeds current production, they can sell all they make in a cosy no one stepping out of line price structure.
