Felt 29"er now ready for return to France
Oily, whirry bits cleaned or replaced
New BB, chain and rear gear inner cable

Dust seal on the V8"s keeps sliding so ghetto fix enabled...

Trimmed slightly so seal still spins with pedal

Re: On your Bike
Took a picture of this bike today.
I thought to myself...that has the look of an expensive bike.
Rather than look it up straight away I thought I'll just shove the pictures up here and see if anyone on the forum knows.
Regards Neil

Re: On your Bike
No nor mine, call me old fashioned if you like but I just never see the need for "gratuitous swearing" and covering it up with marketing claptrap. Don't get me wrong either, I have worked on all sorts of sites and used appropriate language for the job but I just don't like it used for the sake of it in published format!!NewcastleFalcon wrote: 08 Jun 2020, 20:05

Re: On your Bike
https://cyclingindustry.news/bike-shop- ... -in-april/
There was a piece on Country file on cycling where they said that sales of bikes had risen 50% in April, with public transport being persona non grata, the trend looks set to continue. With E-bikes longer commutes could be considered. The programme highlighted a national health worker who does a 10 mile commute in the highlands of Scotland, made possible with an e-bike helping to take the strain and allowing her to arrive at work invigorated rather than shattered!
Maybe the marketing for the Veloretti, does hit the nail on the head for some

Re: On your Bike
Having read through that article I have to agree with the philosophy, I still don't like the presentation and it could be another significant campaign nail in the coffin of the petrolhead. One good thing though, the FCF will survive, even if it ends up being the French Cycle Forum!!

..and there is always the virtual FCF cycling club too! I certainly enjoyed our bit of virtual cycling Mick, and its inspired me to get out on my real bike!
Its been coming for a while, the decline of the high street and the rise of online. We are in the depths of Englands last wilderness here, but ASDA,Morrisons,Tesco,Sainsbury's can all deliver your "weekly shopping", others like "Delifresh" normally supplying to the restaurant/commercial trade now do excellent veg deliveries, dairy/eggs. If the exhaust goes on the car ECP/GSF/TMS or do free delivery, and for the DIY Screwfix/MKM can get anything you need and for other stuff Boots/M&S, Amazon and Ebay and virtually anything else you can think of gets delivered to your door. Crikey you can even get a bike in the box from Amsterdam for 20 euros saying...
We've certainly become weaned off the necessity to do the weekly shop by car.

Re: On your Bike
I missed this post earlier Neil, sorry! I too enjoyed the virtual ride but I have to say that the real thing is not so appealing due to my weak left ankle, but I am considering an electric bike so you never know!NewcastleFalcon wrote: 10 Jun 2020, 10:23 ..and there is always the virtual FCF cycling club too!
