When you think of it, of all things seen in 60s and 70s shows like Star Trek and so on, it's the only thing we don't yet have...
Maybe I could work on the HHGTTG Infinite Improbability Drive or the Bistromath Drive - those would suit my requirements rather well too...
But what's the probability of me being able to make a successful Infinite Improbability Drive?

It's all to do with the Haslein Uncertainty Principle, apparently. That and Sodd's Law.CitroJim wrote:But what's the probability of me being able to make a successful Infinite Improbability Drive?

Correct, but, where is the hedge [emoji12]white exec wrote:Behind the hedge?
I am now at Inverness, I have driven 684 miles so far, still about 70 to get home. I was 124 from home to Fort William so thats 560 for the NC 500 the way I did it. The official route is 507 I think but thats starting and finishing in Inverness. Im not even going to try posying a photo here, I am gobsmacked that there is no 4g, or even 3g where i am sitting, outside tesco in the retail park on the edge of Inverness on the A9 / A96 junction. I will be over an hour and a half getting home from here then I will need about 3 days to recover! My knackered body is feeling it. Just as well that bigpug is good gfor distance cruising. Averaged 42.8 mpg on the 158 mile trip computer today from Thurso to John o Groats and south to Inverness. The A9 is a lovely road to drive down. No hold ups, no bad bits now apart from the Berridale braes, 50 mph on the cruise amongst the lorries and camper vans with no hassle. Now comes the A96 from Inverness east, rush hour Friday, its a road thats always chocka block at the best of times. Oh well Ive got all night lol

It's an interesting bridge, I have to say but that hedge looks like it's interrupting a path that by all rights should continue...
Rest well Davie, I've really enjoyed your trip
Hope the recovery is quick....

Re: North Coast 500
Just got safely home. This is nearly unbelievable. The display on the trip computer after filling up and resetting it in Inverness. Cruise on, 50mph most of the way, sometimes slightly slower with traffic and heavy slow traffic in some ofvthe towns.

Davie, I love a guessing game!
I guess in heading to Inverness after the said bridge you would have travelled on the A836 through Ardgay, and passed this at the side of the road

Re: North Coast 500
I looked at that path and hedge, and thought the same! The hedge is obviously making its way downhill (or maybe uphill). Could have been a nasty accident...CitroJim wrote:It's an interesting bridge, I have to say but that hedge looks like it's interrupting a path that by all rights should continue...
Rest well Davie, I've really enjoyed your tripHope the recovery is quick....

Davie, you've done wonders there, and quickly, and deserve a rest. Amazing what consumption figures a car will return when touring!
