You are welcome Peter, happy to dig the info out.

A few posts back Pylon Wires appeared on the thread, and I put a link to a video for those who wanted to find out more. Developments in wiring tech to increase capacity on existing power lines.

Dave's video this week highlights a classic example of the need to work together rather than pursue one's own quest for profit!! :)

He talks quite a lot of sense that chap. I like his videos. I suppose no one has thought a putting two huge plates one of carbon and the other of zinc into the ocean, to make a gigantic Le clanche (if I have spelt that right) cell which would give 1.5 volts at thousands of amps, don't know quite what the would do with it - but its a thought.

The proper way to generate electricity. The river Shin near Lairg. The small blue generator is in the dam that supplies the water to the main generators a few miles downstream.

Yes interesting, as long as they don't catch fire  Very neat installation. Maybe the price is coming down to the point they can afford to install more.

Jordan has become something of a YT 'presenter' which detracts from his videos.
There is some interesting stuff here if you can overcome that.

This may be interesting. Sadly it is in American. Listening to the rubbish subtitles instead, a bit at a time.

At least this one is in English English.

There is an advert contained within that may be of interest to anyone with a 3D printer.
