Maybe it was a drag racer? Most of those crazy excuses for cars (and entertainment) seem to have equally knackered rear height correctors...

What an awful waste of a 205

A 206 I don't mind being wasted but wasting a 205 is a crime!

I think it's an early 306 Jim. I thought it was a 205 until I saw it up close too!

French engine in it too - out of a Mirage.

There were some Saxos too! Must be the appalling safety of them, makes them easier to crush ;)

I still reckon it's a 205 - look closely at the rear windows ;)

Naturally, after all, French cars must have a French engine - it's the law!

Even if these engines are British designed - as the XUD was...

I say its a 205. If it was a total basket case that is now giving fun rather than being crushed its acceptable, but if it was a good shell cut up for that then its sacrilege

I rather agree with that Davie!

It's definitely giving a lot of pleasure now!

Few French motors spotted at the Great North Road Vintage Gathering today...

First up was one that it was nice to see at a gathering like this, given that they're starting to get thinner on the ground now...

Next up was a lovely looking little Renault 6. A model which I've developed quite the soft spot for following the thread on the resurrection of one on here.

Lastly though has got to be the car of the day for me (even if noise of the day did go to the yellow Stag...), first time I've ever actually seen one of these in the metal...

Still has to be one of the most unusual looking cars of its period, and I reckon one of the best looking for that reason.

One of very few that I can think of which I would actually voluntarily pick silver for actually as well.

That appearing really did make the day for me, though sadly I never had a chance to talk to the owner.

It's definitely a Marmite car I reckon.

Just realised there was a 2CV there as well, but that left before I had a chance to snap a photo of it. They still sound great I think.
