Lets get the Firmware first, as I suspect the maps may work once you get the firmware updated.

Would you do the firmware again first to see if it works or put the maps on the USB to ?

Do you think the car will accept the maps if my maps are newish or will it load them anyway. I did notice when I did the update the first time I left the pen in and it asked if I wanted to do it again

Apply the firmware first on a freshly formatted (FAT32) USB key. Allow that to complete.

After that has been done, check system functionality, including maps.

If the maps work - then you can decide if you want to update to a later version of the maps if newer than what you have.

Never mix the software files (firmware and maps) together on the same USB key at the same time. Always completely reformat the USB key after applying each firmware update / map update.

OK I will do that - So I unpack these and add them to the USB stick like I did last time

No, as long as the car is running, the on-board WiFi will verify the update and authorise it via it's own connection.

Where I live there is no internet connection - mobile signal. I have just done the firmware update and that has gone ok. Im just about to do the maps now

I have done the Firmware update and it worked fine - But the maps still did not work

I then did the Maps update and its now working great
