Ok, so in this case your original part number listed for the SMEG unit was 1613937080.
This was later replaced with part number: 1620302880

The manual for your year indicates the functionality - but there was an addendum to the manual to cover the connected services updates and Mirror Link.

So I would push the dealer / contact Citroen Head Office and moan to them and they may contact the dealer to sort it out. Have your VIN handy, in case they need it.

I have now managed to get an appointment with a main dealer to look at it next week.. so fingers crossed!

Now have Apple CarPlay activated on my DS3! Barretts Citroen Canterbury did it for £90. It’s working great! Very happy.
But they would not activate MirrorLink they said it was not possible to retro activate it... something to do with the license.

Good Job - that sounds about right for the diagnostic time, although a bit costly for what's involved IMO.

Did you manage to get your wife’s 2015 DS3 enabled for Apple CarPlay. I have the same on my 2015 DS3 but so far all dealers I have spoken to won’t or don’t know how to do it. Any advice from anyone who know who can activate this for me would be greatly appreciated! Thanks Pete

Hi Pete, yes, I found a guy on the internet, David from Magpie Autos, magpieautos at gmail d0t com.
You can either take the car to him or send the head unit, he charged a lot less than the dealers.

Hi, I too have a 16 plate DS3 I am trying to enable the mirror link function as I believe my car should have it! I took it to a citroen garage in 2017 and they had it all day and outright said they don't know how to do it, can anyone help?
