It was the air con holds 525g of coolant gas and it only had 50g in it, no wonder it wasn't working properly, all sorted now through

Yeah, but it went somewhere.... that sort of loss over 7 years can only be caused by a leak.... (I put 150g in our 2008 C4 Picasso earlier in the year, and that is overcharged now, capacity is 450g). See how it goes, but my guess would be you will find it leaks out somewhere.

Yeah, you're probably right Richard, but now I know it's topped up I can keep an eye on it, having said that the chap did a physical check round using a UV light and couldn't see anything, so we'll just have to see.

The 407 had sat for a few years before I bought it as the elderly gentleman who owned it had died. It did work when i got it but it was never *that* good, it did always cool the car down though. In the last 6 months though that car must have only done 5 or 600 miles so it probably is suffering from under use.

I must say it's rather a desirable one and generally very tidy. The LPG makes it rather special too..

I'm not going for it as I already have a good one and mine does so few miles the LPG cannot be justified...

So, who's having it when it's done?

Well, I took the Peugeot for a quote on Monday to have LPG fitted, it's going to cost about £1400, it could have been a bit cheaper but the tank will be in the spare wheel well and by raising the boot floor internally by 5cm, I can almost double the size of the tank.

The plan to raise the boot floor is to lift it and put Styrofoam under the boot mat, the only thing going in the boot will be the spare wheel, so I can live with that.

She goes in on 1st September so something to look forward to.....

The usual way i've seen to raise the floor the required amount is to make a wooden frame in two pieces and then the original carpet sits atop of it. Also by doing the frame method an extra section can be made that holds the spare wheel in an upright position(dont think there is enough room for this in the 407 boot) but in horizontal form allows for a nut to be glued into a part of the frame and a spin down wing nut that then holds the spare wheel in place, which then acts as a small open top cubby hole

I took the Pug to work today, it's one hell of a motorway car, absolutely effortless. Out of curiosity I put Peugeot Planet on the car this morning, just to see if there was anything........there wasn't a single thing......

I do have one slight conundrum I need to solve and that's with the ICE, the car is fitted with the same RT4 whodunit I have in the C6, not a problem! The 'fly in the ointment' is that there is also a 6 CD disc changer.in the boot which is not showing in the source menu, so I need to have a look at that.

I was hoping the Coupe was fitted with Day Time Running Light but it's not, apparently the hey are configured by country and a separate add ons.
