According to the diagnostic manual that's shown as a minor fault so won't activate emergency/limp home mode.

Under fuel high pressure monitoring 1320 (fault code 1112 = major fault causing the engine to stop) low pressure is shown as being down to fuel starvation so blocked filter, clogged pick-up mesh in the tank, vehicle out of fuel, and to check the return flow-excessive return flow due to faulty injector/s, faulty fuel pressure regulator due to being seized.

As mentioned earlier if you can get the specific code recorded it will help immensely as there are 43 fault codes plus countless other diagnosis suggestions if no fault code is recorded, 56 pages of A4 is too much for me to type out

Possible Turbo Boost Pressure Sensor, dark red in colour with 3 vacuum pipes on it if I remember rightly. If it's faulty it will read an abnormal turbo pressure reading, normally under heavy acceleration measured outside normal parameters for more than 2 seconds will cut the fuel flow and engage limp mode. On the 1.6 hdi it's located nowhere near the turbo at the rear bottom timing belt end of the engine, not sure of the location on the 2.0 hdi!

Just a suggestion, hope it helps!

Cheers Chris.. but limp mode isn't activated she stops dead.. after shestarts again she still has full power... not limp home so i don't believe its an over boost sense .. its in another area...

Well... AT LAST! We have - well this evening so far - problem solved!

I finally managed to aquire another untouched HDi High pressure pump for my car!

Tonight I fitted it.. To recap, I could not go above 3k, or put my foot down more then half way or the engine would cut out dead and throw on the ECU light.

So, I made a special effort to fit the replacment pump.. which incidentally took my 1hr 10 mins to do.

Result? YES! I gave the car a good going down the dua carrage way, Full throttle, hard accelleration and NO Cutting out!

My conclusion.. These HDi engines are Not as complex as they appear to be what so ever!

Next problem, the steering UJ joint, which is SERIOUSLY siezed! Ive left it sooo long its like driving with No PAS now!
