BTW - I'm curious to know, (OK, I'm nosey!) is the colour coding inside
something that feels OK or OTT and was that 13300 mileage a typo!?

Image
are those chevrons adorning something else yet?

And are these 17" rims?

Morning Andrew

The tyres are 215 40 17's yes and as far as the colour coding goes i think it looks ok but if a load of free dash bits were to appear i think i would go back to black, its no offensive to the eye at all but i just prefer the natural look, the chevrons on the wheel have gone though, i dont like big badges, especialy in bodern cits where the whole front end is one big badge its just too much but they were only stuck on.
Another thing the steering wheel is horrible, its just too skinny and hard it feels very nasty, im very fussy about my wheels its the only thing you hold when driving and it feels like it should be in a mini, i should somewhere have my mk1 xantia wheel though and that was much better.
Mileage by the way is 133k not 13k but it doesnt show it in my short drive, the engine is much smoother than the xm's at idle too but i would imagine thats down to having lower compresssion and very different looking engine mounts too.
Been out sitting in it this morning while i had a pre work cupa, i like the hydractive switch, not the handbrake position too much though but :luv:

Thanks for your kind words, it is a real credit to its former keeper the car has wanted for nothing and i do think it looks very nice too, dont think it would be too popular should i take it to any ccc meets though.
rather keen to get it rolling roaded too, i have to get rid of the dump valve, (and get some boost of course) but its been chipped, i found the receipt last night, there is also a bigger intercooler fitted and induction kit although the cone is sat right in the middle of the engine bay with no cold air whatsoever and it has a straight through exhaust so im keen to see what you get for the money.
would have to be the perfect candidate for a turbo upgrade though.

There can't be many Xantias with OEM body kit! It is rather subtle but different enough.
Is this your first Xant Dean?

Yes they do sounds very chavvy but they do work and it is a noticeable difference.

I fitted one to the Maikonics CX and dad definitely felt a (albeit small) difference between changing gears as it holds the boost up.

Brilliant Dean, well done :D

I hope SWMBO soon comes round. I understand diamonds can ease that process somewhat

Right, shall I fire up the Myford?

Fit the recirculation valve from a 406 CT as it does the same but without the chav factor.
Don't know why peugeot fitted them and citroen didn't

An atmospheric DV does the opposite, it dumps the boost from the system increasing lag. Better to have no DV, or a recirculating one which keeps boost in the induction system.

i dont think there was any point in either with a low pressure turbo, but as you say to atmosphere dv's are a bit sad and are a waste of good boost at the pressures being delt with here.

Yes please jim but there is no rush honestly, oh and she isnt getting anymore diamonds, im doing the kitchen that SHOULD be enough!!
