You sure? Round lampposts are ever so expensive...

Also, if you need the leverage exerted by a lamppost to remove spheres then you're doing something wrong...

I've only recently acquired this particular Citroen and although it is in excellent condition it does need a few things to be sorted, in particular the spheres need changing. I tried using an oil filter chain wrench but whilst tapping the body to help jar it loose, I applied so much force that the chain snapped! I have now got a Halfords oil filter clamp ( rather like large grips) but that hasn't worked either. They grip pretty well but with the force I'm applying, I can see the top of the strut twisting which doesn't seem to be a good thing.. How much will the strut tolerate and does anyone have a good idea about how to get the darned things off?
