@ sonoramicommando: Be aware that uninstalling and reinstalling it won't work if it has been deactivated - you'll have to thoroughly clean up and remove all the files and registry entries manually. That's the reason why you really should backup your licence file after the first successful installation and activation. Then if it ever deactivates you simply copy your licence file back over again and you are back to normal - no need to muck about with uninstalling as it won't solve the deactivation issue unless completely removed. Just search for APPDIAG.SYS on this thread for instructions of location of file.
Of course if Diagbox is deactivated now - there is no point in copying the deactivated file over - this will only work on a new installation when you have the confirmation that Diagbox in activated and have 7.02 installed (in the case of DB 7.*).
If you require access to the cleaner for the registry and files send me a PM.
Ok I think I messed up properly.
The version of diagbox cleaner came with the diagbox/lexia dvd is DBcleaner v1.0a1, says it's an early stage version and to be used at user's risk.
I cleaned it with the software, APPDIAG.sys is still in a folder (C:\AWRoot\bin\fi) and it won't uninstall giving me error messages saying it can't write config_diagbox.ini & processwork.dll in C:\temp\ folder. If I click on "ignore", it starts up the uninstaller but then tells me I have to stop Diagnostic tool first, which I am not running. There I have to cancel the uninstall and pretty much stuck there.
Any help would be appreciated - at this point I would normally reinstall Windows and start all over but since they stopped supporting XP (i.e. no XP SP3), I won't be able to run pretty much anything of use.
