But is likely the tanks could do with draining and cleaning out if that's likely what lurks within!!

This is worryingly alarming........MattBLancs wrote: 07 Jul 2024, 21:41Almost on the money there!
I was topping the 308 and the C5 tanks up and thought I saw something flash past in the stream of blue fluid. Stopped and got my "tractor funnel" which has this nice five mesh. Filled the reservoir and to my surprise this is how much stuff is growing in the (diluted by me ready to use) fluid! Perhaps I should store it diluted (I normally make up a 5 litre bottle worth, top up the cars on the road and then leave what's left in the 5 litres container, sealed , in the garage. So can sit on the shelf a few week between first filled and 5 l emptied. Long enough to grow stuff seemingly!
Have a guess at the exact scenario* played out at Bobins Towers one evening last week.....

This is why I recognised the muck in the tractor funnel as I had exactly the same muck in my tractor funnel. I opted for the gravity syphon of the washer fluid tanks as there was a considerable amount of matter in them.
*- Except it was with a VW Up! and BT-50, and not a 308 and C5.

According to Farcebook, that Red Bull Mini has been out and about quite a lot recently Matt. seen in Preston a few days ago...
So these old scrap discs do have a use
I have a an old scrap disc I've had for years. It's from my old and still sadly missed Pug 205GTi. It does sterling service as a garage door-stop...MattBLancs wrote: 07 Jul 2024, 20:41
Here's a picture with a story:
I've seen this whilst walking my son to school several times over the past few weeks, sat in the grass verge outside the leisure centre. A good distance from the road. Regardless I don't believe they generally fall off without something equally catastrophic like the wheel coming off first and probably the caliper and retaining screw etc. So presumably dumped by some scumbag.
It annoyed me so much that on Friday when walking back from school I picked it up and put it in the boot. Into the scrap metal it will go!!
So these old scrap discs do have a use

Red bull mini in Preston will almost certainly have been the one I saw then - about 3 miles south of Preston here.

Mine's worn a curved groove in the door over the years!
From my run this morning

Pleased with this considering I took it 'blind' into the sun. A real 'point and shoot'! The sun chose just the right time to start hiding behind the edge of the cloud...

One place I visited had a brake disc like that hanging on a wire and used as a dinner time gong.

Due to the heat, which I hate, lunch was replaced by a banana split today after visiting a historic venue which you can find on the Hamburg Hop thread!
