Traders with the necessary kit to clean 'em up buy them by preference, so much gets hidden with a tarted up for sale car.

An interesting phrase extracted from that write up Steve: "400 deadly volts of current." #-o #-o :-D

Time the e-C3 made an appearance on the most appropriate thread for it. Marc posted up the video of the launch went on a bit as these things do 40 odd minutes, but I did give it a watch today. It is an exciting product, like what they are trying to do. It is being made in Slovakia at the Stellantis Trnava Plant, and hopefully will sell hand over fist from 2024.

Should we try an Irish accent for 9 minutes. :?:

The motoring Journalists and you tube channels havent quite got their hands on this and started the reviews.
Launched by Renault on 15th November The Renault Twingo Legend

This is what they say about it...
“Legend”, unveiled today, is the fit-for-purpose urban vehicle with no compromise: best-in-class efficiency with only 10 kWh/100km, 75% lower CO? emissions than the average European ICE car sold in 2023 over its lifecycle, zero tailpipe CO? emissions and lower raw materials consumption thanks to its compact size. Made in Europe, the car will be offered at an entry price below €20k (before subsidies) which will represent less than €100 per month for our clients.
Will it arrive in the UK at the equivalent £17,500 :?: probably not. The "fuel economy" is very good. The continentals like to express it as kWh/100km, but more instantly understandable for me as miles/kWh.
10 kWh/100km is equivalent to 6.2 miles/kWh. If you are paying 30p/kWh that is less than 5p a mile.

Allegedly, an EV company called Fiskars - thought that was a brand of knives - are establishing themselves in Paggers in a big way... Aiming themselves at the fleet market apparently with their Ocean SUV.

News gleaned from our local Faceache page so may be subject to conjecture...

Not quite Fiskar Jim...one letter out Fisker. :-D
Image
The Fisker Ocean is currently made (like the Jaguar I-pace) for Fisker at Magna in Austria. This article would suggest that Fisker are currently producing a small number of cars but looking to "ramp-up" (yes that's a phrase needing to go into room 101) production and sell in more markets.

Fisker lowers production forecast again

Will take a bit of getting through but it's here for the record

Nissan to commit to making new Qashqai and Juke electric models in Sunderland.
Nissan is to commit to making future electric versions of its two best selling cars in Sunderland.

The Japanese carmaker will announce on Friday that its new electric Qashqai and Juke models will be made at the site, helping to preserve 6,000 jobs.

The investment is thought to be in the region of £1bn and will be supported by a government contribution from the Automotive Transformation Fund (ATF).

The ATF received a £2bn top-up in the Autumn Statement on Wednesday.

Nissan is the only carmaker in the UK with its own dedicated battery plant located close to the car factory. It is owned by Chinese company AESC with Nissan as its only customer.

If you want to find out about it, fully charged give it a decent going over. If the price is right they could sell well In many markets other than the kei car market in Japan.

Looks like they're still very much into their Kei cars :) Very wise of them...

Be good if that mindset could be established in the UK and perhaps get rid of all the oversized monsters that are incompatible with most of the unclassified roads and are frankly dangerous as a result...

I like little Kei cars :D
