Well I don't consider that as a gift Neil, more like a sanction, it just won't do, we've already survived a Falcon Free January as normal and I'm not sure another month of deprivation can be tolerated so soon. As a compromise may I suggest you only post on days with a 'Y' in them? :-D

Its done now Mick thanks for the comments. I'm sure my 54 posts in March can easily be replicated and exceeded in April, by a few extra shutter clicks from the regulars like yourself, Jim, Steve, Bobins, Gibbo et al and maybe also from some new recruits from occasional, once-a-month, or debutant posters. I've done my leading by example bit, and probably very tiresome exhortations for members to join-in to a thread which I find the easiest possible to join in with, and at times find it difficult to grasp what stops anyone from joining in, commenting on what's been posted or performing the onerous task of clicking a like button as some token of appreciation for those bothering to post.

Not having an overall FCF April 2024 sabbatical, just vacating the POTD space for a month. If I spot a Renault Wind it will be going on the "All things Renault Wind" thread...and "One for the train buffs" is more than likely to get some addition from me as per usual.

OK, knowing it is only POTD affected makes it easier to swallow! Will you still present the end of month awards as has become usual? :-D

In the meantime this will act as a fair reminder!!

Bunnies! As it is Easter.
Not that they are visible but there were dozens of them scuttling about.
Ninja bunnies. Looking for Easter eggs no doubt.

This is actually the site of the building where I used to work. Brand new purpose built in 1979, closed in 1984. I don't see why no-one bought it and used it but vandals trashed it the set fire to it.

Happy for the reins to be circulated, probably better that way, everyone's taste is different. End of the month deliberation perhaps.

One thing is sure... won't be in the running for the April 2024 awards., although I did supply this image as annotation this very day, cropped and adapted from a Falcon original from a visit to the Trolley Bus Museum at Sandtoft taken in 2018. The Random Award may select it!

When you get given a "Look" that has that wry smile so you know you have just said something stupid :)

From here
Things to do in Hertford Hertfordshire

"Hertford is actually where four rivers converge: the Beane, Rib, Mimram and Lee (or Lea) rivers all merge and join the River Thames at the Lee Navigation."

Yes its got an e on the end but its close! An original photo of the River Beane might be marginally interesting Mick. :-D

A story for the marginally interested:

I drove down to one of our two stations:
Hertford North Station
Hertford North Station
then I turned round to see the name of the road that is almost opposite the station:
With an 'E'
With an 'E'
Walking along that road I came to a bridge:
The way over the river
The way over the river
So I walked onto it to see the marker stone:
I didn't know that!
I didn't know that!
So of course I had to look over the parapet:
The River Beane
The River Beane
But I had to sneak round the undergrowth on the other side of the road:
The other side of the bridge
The other side of the bridge
What a great place to come and cast a bait I thought, and set off back to the car when I came across this:
What a pity!
What a pity!
Never mind, another day another place!! :-D

I was heading into Reading today, and it seems that (despite the inclement weather) Spring is trying to spring!

Whilst sitting in town waiting for the MOT on my SL, I managed to summon the energy to swivel around on the bench and photograph this :)
