Still a bit cold for them yet.
Only ever seen one, in the late fifties.

Bit of an odd one from me today, I came across this while rummaging in a little used drawer:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

It's a pity my snake wasn't an Adder - then between us we'd have had an Adder and a Speller

I have to say that the device is much more than just a speller, if you click on the picture a couple of times and magnify it you can read all the info on what it can do,, I should have said that I turned it on and it works fine!! :-D

POTD Through the Keyhole.

The Victorians knew what they were doing. Houses with 7 open fireplaces and a Range, single glazed sash windows, insulation never heard of, suspended timber floors and draughts sucked in and under doors, through windows and...through keyholes...

Still they came up with a solution for that tricky problem, now known as a "period feature".

The 150 year old lock behind the keyhole with the missing key, got the "DIY with function over finesse" treatment here.

As near as I could get to it... A WWII pillbox adjacent to Cranfield Airport. I've passed it thousands of times on my bike but only when it was being 'conserved' did I notice it...

It's been made into a bat roost allegedly. The brickwork on the side I took this photo from was rather rotten and I thought it was being restored properly but all that's happened is a load of soil has been piled up against the walls, almost burying it.

Cranfield was an RAF station in WWII and for many years afterward before it became the world-renowned Cranfield University.

Spring moves on, pussy willow now pollen willow

I like this one the imperfection in focus in parts is the product of the wind at that moment in time.

The picture was taken a while back now... That bike is currently enjoying retirement. Last time you saw it Mick, it was upside down in my attic in long-term storage...
