I like the concept here and think there could be a business opportunity for independant garages with some space to spare. If the plan works out and the pricing is correct I foresee a decent demand in the student/first car market and it may even be feasible for universities to buy, build and rent out the cars!! :-D

A better-looking Ami clone from Fiat with a retro name... yes they are quadricycles by definition.

For a £1,000 option you can get a 54kw battery for your C4 electric, hatch & saloon, that will give a WLTP range of 260 miles, (200+ real world).

As that is an upgrade from 50kWh to 54kWh for £1000 it makes the cost £250 per kWh. At this particular moment in time that seems very expensive to me!! :-D

Yes Mick, when you break it down like that it does seem expensive, but looking on the hopeful side, once the stock of the old 50kw batteries & motors have been exhausted then the 54kw and motor will be standard.

EV spot of the day yesterday was this

Image

From 2024 Volvo will begin deliveries of this, recently launched, the Volvo eX30. How fast a car goes from 0-60 is irrelevant for me, but it still carries with it small amount of publicity/surprise value, coming from an unlikely looking small suv.

Pretty sure that is what I saw a couple of days ago, in black and not looking at all nice.

Let them flourish!

L6e's L7e's.

Here's another one from Spain, in the electrive.com news today
https://www.electrive.com/2023/06/08/si ... mpact-so4/
The Spanish electric scooter manufacturer Silence has started production of its first four-wheeled electric vehicle. The two-seater Silence S04, first shown in autumn 2021, is now being manufactured in a new plant of the parent company Acciona in Barcelona.
UK website

Turn the sound down unless you like a bit of over-dramatic repetitive background noise (not really appropriate from a company called Silence!)

Not sure about most of the newer electric cars but the ones I've driven seen to be more like the VW Golf ride than the Citroen, there is a Citroen C5 Hybrid that's half way there. :)

I found Mr. Falcon's Leaf to have a very acceptable ride and comfort :)
