Hello
I have a Citroen C5 aircross and it has WAWE3
Since there are no more maps for it, it needs to be changed to WAWE4
It can't be changed. I need a license file.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
For NAC Wave 3, updating in classic mode is not possible, the certificates are expired.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi there!
I have Citroen C5 Aircross from 2019, and version 31 of software. I tried everything on this forum, with no success.
At the end, I called local dealer, and they said that they can update software and maps, but it costs around 100 eur (in Serbia).
Has someone gone that route? Will I then be able to update via Citroen app and USB in the future?

In classic mode updating is not possible.
Maybe the dealer uses another method (does not work in all cases)

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I have just checked the Citroen update app and it is now showing a version 42.03.33.42 as available. This is after it disappeared for a few weeks. I am downloading it now and will check the certificates to see if they are now valid before attempting update in my vehicle. I shall update on here once I know the info. Fingers crossed that it will work!

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Well that didn’t work out as expected. The certificates still expired on 03 November 2024. I shall visit by dealer again on Monday and see if Citroen have replied to the technical ticket that they opened for this issue. I shall keep up you informed of my findings. The main dealers only have access to the same software that we do via the update app so there is no point paying them any money to attempt it.Rjp1205 wrote: 17 May 2025, 21:42 I have just checked the Citroen update app and it is now showing a version 42.03.33.42 as available. Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
There is easy way to fix it just buy a new car, and never buy from Stellantis again

so they really republished the unusable version with broken certificates?
That is really really disappointing.
I thought that now finally they fixed it and downloaded it…

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Our 508 will be going to the seller of the car (a garage that used to be a Peugeot dealership) for the update to the Wave 4 system. They claim to have found a way, but it'll take over 3 hours. Now the update itself is already quite large, so I imagine that alone already takes quite a while. Still I do wonder if it involves removing the clock battery from the system in order to trick it into thinking it's still before november 2024.

Disconnecting the car battery resets the date (year 2007)
The update must be done with the BTA plug and GPS antenna removed from the NAC.

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
I suppose that might depend on the car. But I'm glad to see there's at least some sort of solution!

Re: PSA NAC RCC Updates
Hi, i have Citroen C4 Cactus with 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 system and i want to update maps only.GiveMeABreak wrote: 15 Dec 2024, 20:22It is a distinct possibility as there were 2 '31' versions, 31.08.05.86_NAC-r0 (May 2018) and 31.09.46.62_NAC-r0 (Nov 2018), so it is possible that the certificates have expires. Your issue is that that you may of needed one of these earlier versions to bridge the firmware from Wave 3 to Wave 4. The following is the latest update, but contains the map as well, so is a large download.shocker wrote: 08 Dec 2024, 00:59 Hi, are certificates for wave 3 also expired? I'm on version 31. And can't install update suggested by peugeot app (42.03.33.42). It says firmware is not compatible with device. Is there any way to update wave 3 device now? Can you please help me out?

Firmware 42.03.33.42_NAC-r0 and Map
Shocker Licence File
Instructions for Updating NAC or RCC Firmware, Maps & Licences
Do I have to copy whole 002315011619637877 folder on the root of USB or only its content. Also, where to put license Folder.
Thank you in advance!
