DHY Conrods Comming through Blocks

Has any one had this apparently its only on 97/98 models with the chasis number dhy but dhx ones dont suffer from it. It happened to me and when i took it apart i couldnt help but think it was the con rod bolts that sheared and not actually a week conrod? it happened on my number 4 piston

April 1997 to April 1998 DHY 1.9 306 Turbo diesels are the cars to avoid.
Im sure someone will be along in a minute & still say theres nothing wrong with them.

Well i know of 3 cars locally (aberdeenshire) with the same chassis numbers (dhy) sounds like die to me! they have all suffered the same problem i just thought they must treated there engines badly till it happened to me and i reserched it on the internet, im now looking for a engine but im after one out of a earlier model because i dont want the same thing hapening again!

You shouldnt have a problem finding a 1.9 turbo diesel engine, They where used in a lot of Peugeots & Citroens.
Remember the fuel pump on your engine is coded to the immobiliser!

i removed that from my pump when i fited the bosch pump cause they afre easier to tinker with the fuel settings![8D]
