Hi all. After the recent engine replacement (which I now put down as a bad experience and possibly a waste of money, as im more or less confident all it wanted was a radiator - more fool me) my car has started being very uneconomical. It is using my old diesel pump, with a replacement engine etc. Used to get about 500 miles sometimes more(about 42mpg) on a tank of diesel, now im lucky if I get 400 (33mpg). Anyone any ideas? Only smoke I can see is a bit blue when starting, which dissapears once warmed up (5 mins or so). There may be slight evidence of some black once running, but nothing unusual.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, as its costing me £50 a week in diesel now (used to cost me about £30). Driving style as far as i can tell hasn't changed, car still seems the same with the new engine (apart from doesn't lose water).
Cheers in advance,
Simon
