Has anyone ever conducted a test to see if running under cruise control saves fuel ? I like it on a long motorway run , saves the foot.

I've tried doing cruise control driving only, 6th gear on level ground it's great! Slight hill it disengages...

Odd it does that mine comes off when you only use the brakes. It feels strange sitting back its slowling itself , speeding up , pulling more up hill , its almost like someone else is driving .
