The image is soo small Michael,. so I can't see the code, but if it's the same as the one on the screen you are good to go.

Re: RT6 unit
Hello Mark,
Today i swapt my RT6 unit for another one.
Everything works perfectly fine, all buttons are doing what they suppost to do.
The only thing is that there is this Beep, and i believe it is there because of the different VIN numbers from the car and RT6 unit.
How do i get rid of that??
Greetings,
Michael

Re: RT6 unit
Yes, that's because the unit needs VIN-coding to your vehicle. You will need either a Citroen dealer or somebody with Diagbox or other professional level diagnostic kit to do this for you. Expect beeps and other annoyances until this has been coded.

Re: RT6 unit
Hello Mark,
After put in the other rt6 unit and a visit to the citroendealer, everything works like it should be!!!
So i am very happy with that.
The only thing is a want to upgrade the firmware, without getting any problems, can you tell me please what the best way is to do this??
It is now i believe 2.31

Re: RT6 unit
Ok so for version 2.31 going to the latest upgrade (2.86) will likely cause the unit to go into secure mode as it is a major update from what you have. This may involve a visit to the dealership afterwards if you lose your vehicle configuration.
However, if everything is working correctly now and all the options are correct, then I suggest if you first use the Mirascripts Part A to backup your user data and configuration, then complete the firmware update, you should be able to use Mirascripts Part B to restore your settings back to as they are now if there is a problem. I can't guarantee this of course as each model and unit can behave differently.
The guide for the Mirascripts parts A and B are in the guide here - just refer to the relevant sections (and ignore the rest of the guide) to backup and restore the user data files:

Re: RT6 unit
Ok, so it looks like you may have to go back to the dealer to check it again - these units are one of the worst to deal with issues like this as there's nothing much you can do when they lock down.
