Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Draycote Water, near Rugby, early yesterday morning ahead of me operating a checkpoint and aid station at the Warwickshire Bear Ultramarathon..
Our aid station was set up in the village hall in the beautiful village of Thurlaston...
And a very pretty bus stop in the nearby lovely village of Dunchurch spotted when we went out for coffee between shifts. A village well known for being at the end of the M45 - possibly the least busy motorway in the UK!
It was a great day spoiled only by getting stuck in a massive traffic jam on the M1 for around an hour...

Walked to the shops then took a long rout home.
Can't recall seeing acorns in years. Got home to aching corns
This a couple of days ago:- Middle of nowhere, outside the local Makro. Can't see any reason for that to be there.

Clearly that is advanced thinking by your council Steve, preparation for the next development in personal transport after the country wide failure of the grid from EV charging. You need somewhere to tie them up while you go for a stroll!!myglaren wrote: 19 Sep 2022, 14:38 Walked to the shops then took a long rout home.

About the only use I can think of.
Not many people visit Makro on horseback these days. Perhaps they are considering the future petrol costs?

The cable ties suggest it's been used for hanging a poster, maybe Makro adverts or some Council sponsored event.

Now you've gone and destroyed the mystery.
Even if you are right.
Never seen any but don't pass that way often, broke the walk off halfway as my shoes were killing me.

A picture to make the Pickled Egg Pylon Spotters Club happy, and the more keen members might want to work out where it is from its location data plate
In the field behind the pylon was some sheeps - don't know what make or model they are, any ideas ? Brown body and white(ish) head.
And a picture postcard view - if you like barbed wire - from today's pottering through the Sussex countryside.
