Whilst cleaning some more vinyl today I came across these 3 in quick succession. A coloured disc, a picture disc, and a shaped picture disc. No prizes for working out what they are as it's written on the labels I seem to recall reading somewhere that it was always a right PITA to make the picture discs as the press had to be cleaned after each record - no idea if that's right or not though

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Only ever came across one picture disc, one of my brother's collection, can't remember the name of the artists, no doubt something obscure and psychedelic. Thought it might have been Principal Edwards Magic Theatre, it wasn't from what I could find on the net. Strange that all these years later I still remember the awful Kettering Song from that album. In the spoiler, maybe best left there
Down to the Coast for todays first POTD, easy to join in with and a good day for photography.
Shutter clickers welcomed.

Shutter clickers absent today, but always welcome.
There isn't an easier thread to join in with.
So back to https://www.random.org/ and the archives...Up comes page 314, so a biased selection from that page will be made by yours truly.

I know where it is , the city, but not what is the name of the building.NewcastleFalcon wrote: ↑08 Jun 2020, 20:24Well thats a couple to amuse and entertain us, anyone else got anything to throw into the mix?

The only picture I have taken today, or at least one of two that are very similar.
I did find one to complement one of your earlier ones, the furrows and mounds one, but finding it again has proved impossible.

The "That's" tape was the nearest thing to hand to prop up the silicone tape. Been here for probably three decades, unopened.
Still procrastinating on whether to get the tape deck serviced.
I have tape measures here too and coincidentally just been looking up the diamond markings on them.
I was vaguely aware of what they were all about but wanted to confirm.

I think I still have a couple of tape decks in the loft. Far too good to 'get rid of', but no idea what else I'm going to do with them

I dug mine out recently and all the lights work, the motors turn but the capstans don't.
May have to do some dismantling, in a year or two.

I bought a similar one new in 1954 from 'Premier Radio' in Fleet street and it was slightly later than this one which I had given to me.

They have got them in Yorkshire now, as I have seen on the Hairy Bikers Go North, and maybe a couple of other programmes recently.
