C15 Van brake upgrade, anyone tried?
I look after an elderly C15 Van for a mate and the brakes are unimpressive to say the least, everything is in good order, they just lack any real bite, has anyone upgraded the brakes on these ? I presume Visa GTI stuff might fit but our budget might be more breakers yard, i am thinking Berlingo or Picasso might donate either a Master cylinder or calipers? all suggestions welcome.

Diesel or petrol C15?
Is a brake servo fitted? Does its vacuum pump (diesels) or vacuum line (petrols) work ok?
Have the brake pads/calipers/linings been checked? Some softer brake pads pull up better than the 'long life' hard ones.

agreed. decent brake material front and rear on decent surfaces make a significant difference without modding the parts
