Within PSA systems: MyWay (RNEG), RT6 (RNEG2), Navidrive 3D (NG4).

But I would avoid MyWay. NG4 is a Double DIN system and they cost a bomb, so RT6 or another RT4 which is a perfectly good system, just without Bluetooth.

You haven't said what the problem was with the RT4. Nothing a CF card upgrade won't fix if it is the Hard Drive that is shot.

Damaged CD cable so not able to use the RT4 DVD to upgrade the system. USB is enabled and working with flash drives but getting CRC errors. Doesn't seem to have enough power for my portable CD player.

FAT32 is preferred for USB drive in case it's not and is the source update an original CD or a copy?

I'll try with FAT32 instead of the default FAT. The source is the original CD.

No change with fat32 either. Will try with a new cable in the weekend.

What are the negatives of the MyWay as I have found a cheap one - is the screen the same with the RT4?

The MyWay uses the low resolution screen and the RT4 should be ok as it can support low and high res.

In case it is important to you, be aware that despite what it says in various older owner handbooks, the MyWay system does NOT play media files from the SD card and does not support bluetooth media streaming!

It can only play media files such as MP3s from an MP3 mastered CD or a standard CD. It can play MP3 / WMA media files from the AUX input if fitted - but provides a rudimentary function only.

Got it to work at the end. Interestingly I didn't have to set the SSD as slave or master.
