Folding mirrors Citroen C5 (X7)
Hi! The mirrors on my Citroen C5 (X7) are not folding when I press the door mirror control button. The mirrors are folding only when I close the doors from the remote control. Is it a setting from Lexia or this is the same for all cars?!? I'm asking as on my wife's Peugeot 307 I can fold the mirrors from the door control button and open back (it's helpful when you need to pass through a narrow road). Thanks!

Re: Folding mirrors Citroen C5 (X7)
If you have the folding mirror option you should be able to pull the mirror control back to deploy and fold back the mirrors.
Try a BSI reset of this is not happening.

Re: Folding mirrors Citroen C5 (X7)
Hi! I've done the BSI reset when I had that navigation issue and it's still the same. I have Lexia but I didn't find any option to activate or deactivate the folding. The only menu I found was to check the folding of the mirrors and it works, by folding and deploy each mirror. Any other ideas?

I suppose it is worth checking - do you have the mirror switch in the central position (neither left or right mirror selected) when you try and fold the mirrors? You cannot physically move the switch backwards to activate the folding function if the switch is slid over to the left or right.

Something you might want to check are the contacts within the switch unit itself. I had a problem with the switch unit on my Mk1 C5 (admittedly with one of the windows, not the mirrors), and the Lexia told me it was the switch, and not the window mechanism. When I opened up the switch unit I found dirt on the contact in question (and some on others). After I cleaned all of the contacts (both on the circuit board and the membrane) all of the switches worked properly.

Correct, no configuration changes in Diagbox, so by process of elimination, you should start with the control panel first, it can be removed with a flat plastic blunt trim tool. There are some clips that you can see around the edges shown in the diagram, item 16.ADY-ULTRAS wrote: ↑11 Nov 2018, 20:47 Hi! What you’ll find is that water can get into the unit from rain when the door is opened and shut or via the open windows. It can cause the contacts to become calcified or rusted. Get some contact cleaner specifically for electrical contacts and give it a clean with an old toothbrush. Be very careful with the electronics as these are a fair bit to replace if damaged.
I would not suspect the wiring in the door panel, because the driver’s door control module would need to work to operate the mirrors.

I thought its possible to disable the mirror fold on close/open with a diagbox (2011 x7) or i was wrong?

Re: Folding mirrors Citroen C5 (X7)
It can be done in the BSI itself -by changing the multiplexed folding mirror option to 'No', but I'm not sure what other features of the mirrors that may disable, if any.

Re: Folding mirrors Citroen C5 (X7)
I actually found a "better" way of disabling it. Under BSI PROTECTION - ACCESSES - MECHANICAL ASSISTANCE / Folding in of door mirrors with high frequency remote control YES / NOGiveMeABreak wrote: ↑02 Aug 2020, 12:50 It can be done in the BSI itself -by changing the multiplexed folding mirror option to 'No', but I'm not sure what other features of the mirrors that may disable, if any.

Re: Folding mirrors Citroen C5 (X7)
There you go then - but it is in the BSI. Sometimes the software version will have different options in Diagbox / the BSI software level.

Thank you so much. My car's passenger side mirror was always open. Then I saw your post and check the control panel and see that one of the connectors is not in place. So I just connect it to it's place.
